Although every project is unique, and entails its own opportunities and challenges, a typical turn-key project works on a stage-by-stage basis, and involves following steps:
Personal Meeting between the client and Living Design. We will initially meet with our clients to discuss their individual needs, and project specifics, including:
- Market research
- Clients needs
- Owners & Operators ideas and views
- Room confirmation
Design Proposal. The design concept is presented through bespoke mood boards, showing the client intended style, color scheme and feeling of the hotel. We will also produce truly stunning rendered visuals, bringing our design to life, and offering our clients an exciting preview of our vision, and their space. At this stage a more specific budget is produced.
Pre-project. Next, we move our ideas forward and apply our vision to the project. Working closely with our clients, we will produce the following:
- Space planning for all public areas
- Fixed and loose furniture design
- Wall & Ceiling decoration
- Floor & Lightning plans
- Bill of quantities
- Calculation of fixed price
- Time schedule
Interior architectural planning. After careful planning and co-ordination with the other trades and consultants involved in the project (and of course, our client), detailed drawings of all the public areas are created, include:
- Colour schemes
- Lighting design
- Furniture design
- Floor design
Building of mock-up room for approval. All the designed furniture, carpets, curtains, lamps, etc. are prototyped and installed at the hotel, offering a true representation of our design.
Procurement. As the appointed purchasing agents, we will arrange for the procurement of all FF&E, co-ordinating the logistics, and overseeing the quality control of manufacturing.
Installation. Finally, we will co-ordinate the installation of the project. At this critical stage in the project, we will:
- Constantly monitor all deliveries
- Make inspection report(s).
- Oversee the installation of all fixed and loose furniture
- Hand over to our Client, and conduct a final inspection of the site.
